WELLS

Lennon Wells are a 5 piece rock and roll band out of Nipulana, Lutruwita (Hobart, Tasmania). They burst on to the scene in 2021 after crafting together their debut EP in the tumultuous 2020.

Since releasing their EP ‘Beast on my Back’ the energetic rockers have cemented themselves as one of Hobarts best live acts with appearances at ‘Great Escape music festival’, ‘Party in the Apocalypse’, The TSL Grand final and supports for The Murlocs, Slowly Slowly and The Jungle Giants, the Lennon Wells boys are no strangers to big stages and even bigger performances.

The Hobart locals have secured themselves a loyal Hobart following – selling out every headline show they’ve played; most recently a 280 cap warehouse show that they hosted themselves for the release of their latest single ‘How does it Feel’. The live show found itself just as much at home, across the ditch, at Melbourne iconic ‘Cherry Bar’ where they sold 150 tickets to their first headline show.

Their debut EP garnered radio play all across the country including several plays on Triple J, RRR and 4ZZZ. Declan Byrne said of their latest single ‘lennon wells has done it again! serving up country tinged rock as if ball park music grew up in the bush and sweeping you up for a hella fun ride.’Avid supporter of Tasmanian music Brian Ritchie of the Violent Femmes praises Bens song writing on debut single Slowly Dying ‘“That’s excellent. Scared of dying lonely, that's why I’m desperate to have kids. That’s brilliant.”

With plans for the release of the 3 singles in the beginning of 2023 and their second EP in July; expect to see Lennon Wells on tour around the country wowing audiences as they prove themselves as one of Australia’s best live acts.
