When is Day on the Lawn?

The next edition of Day on the Lawn is on Saturday April 1, 2023.

Where is Day on the Lawn held?

Day on the Lawn is held at the stunning Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Tasmania's second oldest Botanical Gardens.

Is this an all ages festival?

Yes, Day on the Lawn is a licensed, all ages event.

Children and Ticket Holders under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or legal guardian that is aged over 25 years at all times, including when entering and inside the Event.

Children under 4 are free and do not require a ticket.

Only a limited amount of U18 tickets are available.

VIP tickets are strictly 18+

TICKETING

Where can I buy tickets?

Day on the Lawn tickets are available for purchase from the sole authorised ticket provider, Oztix.

We highly recommend that tickets are only purchased through the authorised ticket provider. Tickets brought from any other platform cannot be guaranteed as legitimate.

Patrons with fraudulent tickets will not be admitted.

Is there a ticket limit?

Yes, there is a maximum of 8x tickets per transaction.

Can under 18s purchase an 18+ ticket?

No, patrons aged 4-17 years must purchase a 'General Admission 4-17' ticket.

Only a limited amount of these tickets are available.

AT THE EVENT

How do I get there?

Day on the Lawn is held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, located on Lower Domain Rd, Queens Domain, Hobart.

Entry to the event is only via the Main Gates. Parking and entry is not avalaible from the Bottom Carpark off the Domain Highway.

Day on the Lawn is accessible via walking, driving, public transport, or (safely) piggybacking.

Please follow the directions of traffic management and event staff.

What can I bring?

Your tickets, we prefer it digital

Both a physical debit/credit card AND cash. Mobile service can be unreliable during large events at the gardens

A valid government issued ID

Empty reusable water bottles (no glass)

Folding chairs/picnic rugs

Sun protection including sunglasses, hat & sunscreen, and a sweater for the cold evening

There is plenty of food options available, but if you would like to bring some snacks please make sure your eski’s are no bigger than 30L  

What can't I bring?

BYO alcohol - Anyone found with BYO alcohol will be refused entry without a refund

Large eskis (more than 30L)

Professional film equipment

Umbrellas, shade tents

Glassware and metal cutlery

Weapons, fireworks, illicit substances, pets (other than assistance dogs)

Aerosol cans, markers

Marketing materials, flyers, posters

Underage drinking / supplying a minor with alcohol

You can not attend this event if you have been banned from Vandemonian events

Will food be available?

Definately! There will be a range of local food producers on site to keep you nourished.

Our food vendors will be able to cater for a range of dietary needs.

Will beverages be available?

There will be a range of fantastic beverages available at the bar.

VIP ticket holders will receive access to an expanded drink selection.

What do VIP tickets include?

VIP tickets include access to a private bar and garden area, an expanded drink selection, an express entry lane, separate toilets.

VIP tickets are 18+
